GREAT insights magazine

GREAT insights is ECDPM’s monthly magazine, covering issues related to governance, regional integration, economics, agriculture and trade. It gathers expert analysis and commentary from stakeholders representing a variety of different perspectives. Contributing authors in 2013 included Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma (Chairperson of the AU Commission), José Manuel Barroso (President of the EU Commission), Betty Maina (member of the High-Level Panel on the Post-2015 Development Agenda), Graziano da Silva (Director-General of FAO), João Caholo (former Deputy Executive Secretary of SADC), and many more.

The Weekly Compass newsletter

The Weekly Compass newsletter reports the latest policy news concerning international cooperation. Focusing on the EU and its relations with countries in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, it provides succinct updates and behind-the-scenes analysis on the foremost policy processes under way in the areas of EU external action, conflict and security, economic governance, trade and regional integration, dynamics of change in Africa, and food security.


The Filter news service

The Filter is a service providing the most relevant international cooperation news in relation to EU external action, conflict and security, economic governance, trade and regional integration, dynamics of change in Africa, and food security. With it, we scan and index more than 500 sources daily to help busy policymakers stay up to date on topics of interest to them. The Filter is the basis for our Weekly Compass newsletter. It is a searchable library, organised by topic, including commentary and analysis from our own staff to put the stories into context.

Africa-Europe blog ‘Africa-Europe Relations: Looking beyond 2014’

The Africa-Europe blog is dedicated to the future of EU-Africa relations. It was set up by ECDPM in 2013 with the main aim of providing adequate and independent information in the lead-up to the April 2014 EU-Africa Summit. The blog features regular contributions from a range of African and European stakeholders.
